[Photo] Gillian Anderson attends The Olivier Awards

The Laurence Olivier Awards are presented annually by the Society of London Theatre to recognise excellence in professional theatre and were renamed in honour of the British actor, in 1984.

Gillian was nominated for the Best Actress ("A Streetcar Named Desire" at Young Vic). Unfortunately, at least for us fans, the winner is Penelope Wilton for "Taken At Midnight". Two other nominees were Imelda Staunton for "Good People" and Kristin Scott Thomas for "Electra".
