Dr Anne Simon will host campus viewing party for The X-Files premiere. According to this tweet, the show's science advisor received an e-mail from the University of Maryland.
University of Maryland emailed that they want me to host campus viewing party for #Xfiles premiere.Last was so fun! Anyone want to come??— Anne Simon (@Annealiz1) April 21, 2017
Members of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) voted to authorize a strike if
the guild is unable to reach a new agreement with the Alliance of
Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), that
represents the television networks and movie studios. The current contracts expire on May 1,
which means a strike could begin as early as May 2.
This means that some TV shows will be affected, because all scripts will be stopped. However, there aren't any information about The X-Files and its script.
From the other hand, Dr. Simon pointed this could be "devastating for Season 11 if doesn't end soon."
Writer's strike means no new scripts can be filmed and writers not supposed to write. Devastating for #XFiles season 11 if doesn't end soon😔 https://t.co/t6FCEQFvOT— Anne Simon (@Annealiz1) April 25, 2017
