Travis and James Riker were only babies when their mother Alyea drove them to the Fox set of The X-Files 14 years ago to play William, the offspring of Scully and Mulder. But the link has stayed with them their whole lives. Daily Mail caught up with the teenagers - who are now living in Manhattan Beach, California, and pick up modeling gigs between school and soccer.
- 'We have never watched the show,' James, 14, tells.
- 'We've seen some fan footage of us from all the episodes that's pretty cool,' added Travis, 'but never seen the whole show.'
- 'Our aunts D'Jamila and Gihan are big fans of The X-Files and they would always tell us about it,' said Travis.
The two may watch now that they will be shown in flashbacks on the reboot. They will appear in episodes two and four.
- 'We will tune in for sure, why not?' added Travis.

The brothers were cast during 2002's season nine after a friend tipped their mother off about the part. James and Travis looked so similar as babies that it was easy for them to play the same child on screen. When one slept, the other worked, and vice versa.
- 'We have no memory, of course, of working on the show, but obviously it is a part of our lives,' said James.

But it was not their school mates who took note of their X-Files connection.
- 'Our friends really didn't know about it. It was our teachers who would be interested. They thought that was fun,' said James.

And the Riker boys didn't even know they were associated with the show until they were about seven years old.
- 'We had no idea we worked on The X-Files until later. It was only when we were about seven that my mom Alyea would mention it to us every now and then,' said James.

That led to scouts calling them. Their first shoot was for Elle UK, and next Travis and James will appear in the March issue of Teen Vogue. As far as going back to acting, it was a natural fit.
- 'We just had a great experience acting together over the summer in a project called Clandestino. We filmed it at Joshua Tree. I play the bad twin and James plays the good twin,' said Travis.

And the two would like to become famous, but not that famous.
- 'I'd love to become famous enough to get a discount at the Nike store and meet my favorite soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo,' said Travis.
- 'I'd love a discount at Adidas and be able to meet the Liverpool FC team. I was lucky enough I got to meet my favorite soccer player Steven Gerard last summer,' James added.
