[Video] The X-Files Panel At NYCC 2017

1 min read
Actors Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny and Mitch Pileggi appeared along with the executive producer Chris Carter, in order to talk about Season 11 at NYCC. Panel was moderated by journalist Michael Ausiello of TVLine.

Here are some highlights from the panel:

- Season 11 will have eight standalone episodes, and two mythology ones. Glen Morgan and James Wong, are making episode number 8, which is "similarly messed up" in tone like "Home".
- Scully and Mulder will get "kissing close" at certain point. But when we pick up, they’re still "professional partners, not romantic partners."
- Langley is in the show this season.
- Speaking of William, Carter explained: "We explore that father-son-mother relationship, and you’ll see more of William than you’ve seen in a long time," while Pileggi added: "I think [the William storyline] is… brilliant. I think it’s done really well, and you guys are going to be very, very happy with it."
- We’re getting more Skinner than we did in the last six episodes. While exploring his backstory, we will have a chance to see younger Walter.
- Season 11 will begin with "some background on the Cigarette Smoking Man."
- Scully won't have her own desk. Again.
- We should never say never to another X-Files movie.
- New Millennium season is still a possibility.

Yes, but actually... No.
