David was the first guest in NBC's Late Show, where he talked about his novel, X Files and Twin Peaks revival.

From GQ article: In these dark times, only one man has the power to make it all better. That man—nay, that national treasure—is David Duchovny. Last night Duchovny told Seth Meyers about a commercial audition early in his career in which he was required to dance alone in a Speedo with a tiny boom box.

"I had to audition for, I think a soft drink or a beer [commercial] in a Speedo alone in front of ten producers with a little boom box playing music just not very loud at all—so quietly that I could hear my thighs rubbing together as I was dancing," Duchovny said.
