There are two things that have caused panic among X Files fans: A tweet posted by Anne Simon and Gillian Anderson's interview given for Reuters.
Dr Simon tweeted some sad news, stating: "Glitch caused negotiations to stop. Last heard it was "definite maybe". Been trying to learn more. Worried too."

The second thing came from Reuters and Gillian's interview. The actress talked about the importance of her movie Sold and the global problem of sex trafficking. She mentioned that her social media activities have been boosted since the announcement of The X Files revival as a mini-series event, that has probably made people to ask more questions about sex trafficking. Of course, journalist took the opportunity to find out if The X Files' new season is just around the corner. However, Gillian gave this disturbing answer: "Probably not. I think it is finished."
So, what is the meaning of this? What kind of glitch can cause the ongoing negotiations to stop, and does this really mean the next season of our favorite show is pushed over the cliff? We'll just have to wait in order to find the answer...
