Gillian Anderson has won her second Emmy Award in her career. Her 2021 Emmy win for Netflix's "The Crown" comes for her buzzy portrayal as UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in Season 4 of the regal drama, exactly 24 years after she won for Fox's "The X-Files" for her role as FBI Agent Dana Scully.
Anderson previously received a Golden Globe, a Critics' Choice Award, and a SAG Award for her performance in "The Crown."
The 73rd Primetime Emmys Celebration was held at Soho House on September 19, 2021 in London, England.
