Kim Smith’s upcoming picture book, The X-Files: Earth Children Are Weird,
sees the best pals go camping in a backyard during an overnight
sleepover — complete with a fancy tent. Only, the night doesn’t go as
planned as young Mulder and Scully encounter all sorts of strange lights
and sounds. And as the exclusive excerpts below show, both characters
react in classic fashion: Mulder attributes the strangeness to aliens,
and Scully searches for a rational explanation… if there is one.
